Booking Appointments

How to book an appointment

If you are experiencing severe chest pain or breathing difficulties please dial 999 immediately.

Book an appointment by using the NHS Wales App.  Details are below.

Urgent Appointments

Please telephone the practice before 10.30am if you have a problem which you feel is urgent and you need an appointment on the same day.  The receptionists will request details of the nature of your illness to ensure you are directed to the most appropriate professional service.  Please note that these urgent appointments are for problems which cannot wait for an appointment on another day and only the presenting problem will be dealt with. We are grateful to patients for not abusing the urgent appointment system.

Routine Appointments

The practice operates a booked appointments system and a patient’s preference of doctor is accommodated where possible. Appointments are now available to be booked a week in advance.  Appointments can be booked by telephoning or visiting the surgery.  You can also book appointments via the NHS Wales App.  Details of how to access the service are below.

Home Visits

If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10.30am. The doctor may phone you beforehand to find out more about the problem. The decision to visit is at the discretion of the doctor. We do not normally visit children at home as we believe that we can assess their health more safely at the surgery. Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.

Text messaging service

Two way text messaging service is a new service offering patients the option of receiving an appointment text reminder.  Patients can also cancel appointments by text message.  To use this service , please ensure the practice has an up to date mobile telephone number.
